I attended Jr and Senior High School with Elsie. She was the kindest, most gentle soul I´ve ever met. She spoke softly and I loved to hear her talk. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I want her family to know that when she was young, she was a fine Christian lady that I always respected.

Dear Tom, Suzanne and Matt,
I just stumbled across Elsie's obituary by mere chance and am so sorry to hear about your loss - far too early. I am not sure if you will get this message as almost a year has passed. I simply wanted you to know that my mother has thought of and spoken of Elsie regularly over the last 30-odd years and our whole family remembers you all. Elsie was a kind and helpful and fun person and I know my mother will be very sad to hear that she has passed away. Wishing you all the very best from Germany,

Unfortunately for me, I have just learned of Elsie's homegoing to Jesus. Elsie was my best friend since 7th grade, and was in my wedding. I still have a note and a cross she gave me when I was 12. Somehow, we lost touch with each other. I am so sad that I did not get to see her before she passed. She was the kindest, sweetest, person to everyone she met. Her love of Jesus and life and family was always evident. To her remaining family, I know she will be missed. Continue to share memories with each other, and she will live on in your hearts. May God comfort and sustain all of you in these days ahead. I loved that beautiful girl.

Elsie, for 41 years you have been my wife, lover, and very best friend. I have grown to love you more in the past 5 years while you battled with multiple myloma cancer. You had such a good and pleasant attitude through all your struggles and problems. All I lived for was to take care of you, I just wish I could have done more.
I love you with all my heart, Darling eventhough I feel it is about to bust. While I ache that you are gone, I am just thankful that your battle is over and know that you are in the loving arms of Jesus.
Bye Baby

Our hearts are saddened to learn about Elsie's death. Although we have not seen Elsie in years, we heard about her goodness through Pearl and Mrs. Atkinson. We are grateful that she had a loving husband and family. We know that she will be deeply missed. May her large loving family know that we care and we will continue to keep them in our prayers as we have during Elsie's difficult last years. Her memorial service was so sweet and served as a beautiful testimony to a life well-lived. May God's comfort and peace surround you until you see Elsie again.

Tom, Suzanne, Matthew and family,
Our hearts and prayers go out to you all during this time of loss. Take comfort that Elsie's suffering is at an end and rest assured that as God's word confirms for us, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal…Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for good-bye.

So very sad to hear of Elsie's passing. She was a lovely person with a fun sense of humor. Elsie used to drive Jennie and I home from youth orchestra rehearsals when we were in our early years at Paxon HS. She'd drop me off at my house on Jones Road and continue on to Garden Street.
Sending thoughts and prayers to her family.

It's so sad that when we graduated from Paxon so many of us lost touch with each other. Elsie was a dear friend who I always admired- kind and sweet with a warm smile that brightened our days as we first squeaked our bows across the strings of our instruments in Orchestra class. Those were six years (7th grade - 12th grade) that hold so many wonderful memories.
I pray that God will give each of you, her family, an extra measure of strength and comfort.
