Frederick J. Simpson

SIMPSON Frederick J. Simpson, 85, a Jacksonville native, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sally. After graduating from the University of Florida he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Subsequent to the war, he returned to the University and obtained his law degree. Mr. Simpson was a fun loving man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and travelling. He enjoyed a successful 25 year career with the City of Jacksonville, serving as Asst. General Counsel. After retiring from the city, he worked as District Counsel for the State of Florida for 13 years. In addition to his wife, Sally, Mr. Simpson is survived by his daughters, Kathy Kennedy (Robert Lewinson) and Carole Kennedy; grandchildren, Jaime Heaps, Carlin Lewinson, and Charlie Dolton; and great grandchild, Josie Heaps.
