MCEVERS James Jim McEvers, Master Chief (Ret) passed away September 3, 2013. He spent 30 years of his life in the Navy and retired as a Master Chief. Jim was very proud of his military career. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a daughter Troy MacKenzie. He is survived by his wife Sue McEvers, daughters: Jodi Branch (Ted), Penny Harrell (Jeff), 3 grandchildren: Dustin MacKenzie, Kelsey and Austin Branch; 2 stepsons: C.L., Jr. and Daniel Moore; step granddaughter Daniele Moore, sister Sue Wagner and many other family members and friends. He was a member of many military clubs and was a card carrying Potawatomi Indian. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11:00 am, at VFW 5968, 187 Arora Blvd. Orange Park, (little V).
