Jerry Morris Ailts

AILTS Jerry Morris Ailts, 46, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away May 11, 2010 after a long struggle and numerous complications following a head injury in 2008. He was born December 24, 1963, in Hot Springs, SD, son of the late Barbara Cuny and Burdell Ailts. Jerry was a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of Pineridge, SD. He worked for b.b.'s in San Marco until his illness. Jerry lived a full, passionate life. He made friends easily, enjoyed traveling and new experiences. Jerry is survived by long time partner, Allen Kilgo of Jacksonville, grandmother, Helen Curtis of Hot Springs, SD, sisters, Donna Ailts of Hot Springs, Marilyn (Reynaldo) Molina of Gering, NE, Lisa (Ricardo) Molina of Lexington, NE, Shante Romero of Helena, MT, a brother, Manuel (Tanya) Pereyra of Loveland, CO and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14 at 10:00 am at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Monday, May 17 in Hot Springs, SD. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Hot Springs.
