BEAM Lulu Mae Beam, born 4/29/17, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2012. She was 95 years old. Mae was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, but lived most of her life in Chicago before moving to Florida 35 years ago. She loved flowers, gardening, and singing old hymns at church. Mae was a faithful member of Blanding Blvd Baptist Church, and also attended Cedar Creek Baptist church with her late husband, Ivan, who was also recently laid to rest. She was a kind soul and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mae was devoted to her family and her faith. She was greatly loved, and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Sandra Takach, Robert Potter, and Rosemary Barkley, as well as 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great- grand children. A visitation will be held 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday, October 29, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
