GATLIN Margery W. Gatlin, age 91, died April 19, 2013. She was born Margery Wilson in Tullahoma, Tennessee on May 20, 1921. She graduated from Ward Belmont College, Nashville, Tennessee in 1942. She married William Arthur Gatlin Jr. on October 1, 1943 in Fresno California, with her parents attending. After the war, Bill finished college at the University of Florida, and then the couple moved to Jacksonville. Both were avid golfers who enjoyed golf weekends with their many friends. Marge also enjoyed tennis and painting. Bill died in 1973. After leaving Jacksonville in 1995 to live near her son and his family, she resided in Atlanta, Georgia and Denville, NJ before returning to Florida in 2008. She is survived by one son, William A. Gatlin III and his wife Claudia, and three grandchildren, Claire Denby Gatlin of Charleston, SC, Douglas Stuart Gatlin II of New York City, NY, Catharine Drennon Gatlin of New York City, NY, and brother-in-law Douglas Stuart Gatlin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at The Oaklawn Chapel. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
