MARSHALL CAIN

CAIN Marshall Lee Cain Sr., 65, passed away on 08/02/2013 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Philadelphia PA. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL where he graduated from N.B. Forrest high school in 1966. After high school Marshall enlisted in the United States Air Force and earned an honorable discharge. He spent two years in the Merchant Marines where he received specialized training. He was employed in the motor generator field and worked for TEW in Jacksonville FL. Marshall was employed by G.E. energy where he specialized in many fields of technology and repairs, and retired with 25 years of loyal and faithful service as Manager of Shop Operations and EHS coordinator. Marshall enjoyed the outdoors from fishing to hunting to manning the grill for Sunday dinners. He also enjoyed many family weekends around the backyard pool, shooting billiards with his sons and wife, tubing in the river, and spending time with a family that was extremely dear to him. He was an avid Gator fan with a great sense of humor and genuinely cared for those he knew. Marshall also was a head coach for local little league and junior league baseball, where he taught the neighborhood kids all aspects the game and life. Marshall was preceded in death by his father Earl Lee Cain, and his son, Marshall Lee Cain Jr.. Marshall is survived by his mother Evelyn Cain, his wife and love of his life for 42 years Theresa J. Cain, his son Matthew Cain and fianc (Kristin Nice), son Michael Cain, sister Frances Cain-Thompson (Rick), sister Anne Guell, brother Jesse Cain (Kim), and many loving family members, nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers that he met along his journey. The family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, 08/06/2013 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32205. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 08/07/2013 starting at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home with internment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
