Mary Agnes Marks Hamilton(1928 - 2014)

HAMILTON Mary Agnes Marks Hamilton passed away peacefully following an extended illness on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. She was born in Charleston, WV on April 28, 1928 to John Edward Marks and Minnie Eichelberger Marks. She was the widow of James Joseph Hamilton. She is survived by daughters Karen Hamilton and Elizabeth Lavender, grandson John Edward Lavender and his wife Ashley, great grandson Noah David Lavender, cousin David Lilly and his wife Debbie, many friends and beloved special pet, Ginger. She was a graduate of the University of Florida and was a retired teacher, having worked at Mt. Herman Exceptional Child Center, DuPont Junior High, and Palm Avenue Exceptional Child Center. She was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. A memorial service will be held at Franklin Street Baptist Church on Friday, March 7 at 11:00 AM. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver, Kathy Allen and to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for their dedication and care to Mary during her illness.
