BONDS Oscar Monroe Bonds, age 65 of Orange Park Florida suddenly died on Friday October 11 2013. Monroe was raised in Live Oak, Florida with his sister, Betty Bonds Roberts, the children of Louise and the late Thomas Jefferson Bonds. He left Live Oak in 1968 when he joined the Navy to see The World. He served 26 honorable and highly decorated years, rising to the rank of CWO3. After a 4 year shore tour as a stay-at-home Dad, he started his second career with Verizon Wireless for the next 17 years. For 28 years he was the most devoted and beloved husband and father to Donna and Brett Bonds. His strong presence, intelligence, kind and huge heart, sense of humor, quick wit and uncanny ability to fix anything will leave a hole in their hearts, as well as the hearts of his many friends and family. There will be an internment ceremony at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Friday, 18 October 2013 at 10:30 AM with full military honors.
