PAUL HEBERT(1923 - 2014)

HEBERT PAUL HEBERT 2/12/1923 1/16/2014 Paul Louis Hebert, 90, died peacefully early Thursday morning in the presence of his wife and soul mate of almost 70 years. Paul was a true American Patriot who proudly served in the US Navy. He was a veteran of WWII as well as the Korean War. He was in the VT-9 Torpedo Squadron and was attached to the USS Essex. Paul was part of the Formation of the C.O.D. Airlines in Japan. During his career he was a salesman extraordinaire while working for both Lanier Business Products and Bennett s Office Supply. He also served as President of the downtown Sertoma Club. Paul was known for his great sense of humor and strong opinions which he voiced by writing letters to the editor, letters to Don Shula with some coaching ideas and even a letter to Margaret Thatcher whose office responded with a thank you! Paul enjoyed singing in the church choir until he was 88 years old. He loved all sports, especially football and golf. His claim to fame is hitting three documented holes in one!! He is survived by his wife Kay and his four children: Capt. Ed and Robert Hebert/Jax, Carolyn (Jeff) Robinson/Yulee and Kathy (Reid) Estes/Colorado. Ten grandchildren: Paul, Kristina, Kim, Joel, Dylan, Tim, Tucker, Shelby, Turner and Jennifer who preceded him in 2012. Eight great grandchildren: Savannah, Jackie, Garrett, Cooper, Kaleb, Asher, Caitlin and Ryan. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 pm at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Blvd. N., Jacksonville, FL.
