KING Robert O. King, 78, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2013. He was born on February 20, 1935 to the late Otto and Margaret King. Robert retired from the U.S. Navy as a CWO4 with 30 years of service. He served as a Nuclear Weapons Inspector and held a high-level security clearance and nuclear weapons certifications. He also worked in civil service, holding the same position for 14 years, and then retiring again. Robert attended First Baptist Church of Orange Park. He was a founding member and past president of the Navy Nuclear Weapons Association, and also a member of the American Legion and VFW. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and horse racing. Because of his love to mix and mingle with people, he worked part-time for the Jacksonville Suns for three years and for the Kennel Club of Jacksonville for ten years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Nancy King, and his brother, Richard King. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Celeita Joyce; sons, Robert A. (Doris) King and John W. (Karen) Perry; daughters, Dawn (Gregg Fitz) Eastmead and Mitzi J. Perry; grandchildren, Sierra Eastmead, Katherine Perry and Michael Perry; and two cousins, Doris Trumbower and Marjorie Cuntala. He is also survived by his beloved grand-dog, Daisi Perry. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
