Roger William Brodt Sr.

BRODT Roger William Brodt Sr., 72, passed away unexpectedly November 26, 2013. He was born in Chicago, IL, in 1941, graduated from the University of Illinois and then received his Masters degree from Central Michigan. As a Naval Aviator he was transferred with his family to Jacksonville, FL in 1978. After 21 years of service, he retired and became a local business owner. Roger was a dedicated volunteer for Beaches Fine Arts and Habitat for Humanity. He loved flying airplanes, enjoyed brewing beer, and was passionate about his faith and service to St Paul's by the Sea. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Ann, their three children, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Leona Brodt, sister and brother. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7th, in St. Paul's by the Sea Episcopal Church, 465 11th Avenue N., Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul's by the Sea/Beaches Episcopal School Scholarship Fund.
