Major Ronald Theodore Artman USAF (Ret.)

ARTMAN MAJOR Ronald Theodore Artman, USAF (Ret.) 79 of Middleburg, FL passed away Sunday morning at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Artman was a native of Port Huron, Michigan and was raised in Caro Michigan where he graduated from Caro High School in the class of 1953. Following his graduation, Mr. Artman joined the US Navy and later joined the US Air Force where he retired after 20 years of service including the Vietnam War. After he retired from the Air Force, he began working with Anchor Glass in several of their locations throughout the United States and finally retired after 18 years in Jacksonville. Since moving to Middleburg in 1987, he has enjoyed his boating, golf and spending his time with family. Mr. Artman was preceded in death by a son, William Forsythe and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Delores Artman, children, Paul Theodore (Chandra) Artman and Rebecca Artman, one brother, Marvin (Johanne) Artman, two sisters, Judy (Jack) Lee and Sue (Butch) Profitt and his three grandchildren, Christie, Nicholas and Alexis. Graveside Services will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors by the USAF.
