RYAN GAST

GAST Ryan Allen Gast, 21 of Fleming Island, FL peacefully went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his residence. Ryan was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County who had a great love for animals including his dogs, Chewy and Scarface. Living on the St. John's River all of his life, allowed Ryan to enjoy the river life of fishing, boating and swimming. He was a gymnast in his earlier years, a Red Belt in Taekwondo and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his parents, Gary and Sharon Gast, biological mother, Sharon McGraw, brother, Andrew Strickland, sisters, Hollie Carnes and Melissa Strickland, maternal grandmother, Mary Owen, paternal grandmother, Patricia Gast, biological grandmothers, Eva Hurt and Doris Strickland, uncles, Allen Owen, Steven (Chanda) Gast, Michael Gast, Jesse Gast, Kevin (Anna) Gast, aunt, Sandra Gast and many other aunts, uncles cousins and friends. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gill officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 until service time.
