WALTER PEAVER

PEAVER Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com Walter Edward Peaver passed away on October 3, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hadlow Hospice Center. He was born into the Greatest Generation on January 1, 1928 in Nutley, New Jersey to Lyle and Margaret Peaver. He proudly served his country as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Walt married Carole Marie Solari on September 30, 1950 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Together they lived in Pompton Plains, New Jersey with their 3 children before moving to Mandarin, Florida in 1982. Walt was a self taught commercial artist. His talents ranged from illustrating classified NASA projects to whimsical children s books. He spent many hours working on witchy broom and Boopie two of his favorites. Walt is survived by his wife Carole and his sister Betty Kraatz. He will be deeply missed by his children Kathy Abbott and her husband Barry, Sue Witwer and her husband Jeff, and Pete Peaver and his wife Jan. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Scott Witwer, Chad Abbott, Shannon VonBalson, and Bryan and Brooke Peaver, along with 9 great grandchildren. Walt loved his family unconditionally and was a truly exceptional, intelligent, quiet man. A private memorial celebrating his life will be held by his family.
