WILLIAMS Warren G-Daddy Williams went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening October 3, 2013. He was born June 17, 1921 in Harrogate, Tennessee. He was raised on a farm in Indiana and truly appreciated and valued the gifts, family, and Lord with which he was blessed. Warren married Mary Rose, who he met while attending Lincoln Memorial University. Warren and Mary Rose shared 67 years of happiness together. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After he was in discharged in Jacksonville, Florida, he worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station. Thirty seven years later, he retired and went to work for Watson Reality. Warren leaves behind his daughters, Mary Ann Woods (Bill) of Jacksonville and Lisa Stokes (Mark) of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Natalie Gardner, Tal Jones (Marcia), Amber Williams, Scott Williams, Jennifer Stokes, Chandler Stokes; Great-Grandchildren, Allison and Ross Gardner, Garrett Jones, Cody and Kaley Williams. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Rose and son Warren Dale Williams. For the past two years he was blessed with a special friendship with Carol Bogardus. The family will receive friends at The Oaklawn Chapel from five o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Deermeadows Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
