MCINARNAY William F. McInarnay, Sr., 90, of Jacksonville, affectionately known as Papa to his large and loving family passed away March 25, 2013 in the Hospice unit of St. Vincent's Hospital. He was the youngest son of the late Dan and Mary Elizabeth (Peterson) McInarnay. He lived his entire life in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and served in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII, where he was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart and numerous other citations. His memberships and activities include the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a respected member of the business and political community of Jacksonville throughout his life, establishing Jax Plumbing and Septic Co. early in his career. He was a founder and charter member of F.O.W.A. a statewide organization representing his industry. His wife of 59 years, Esther McInarnary, preceded him in death in 2002. Survivors include his sons, William F. McInarnay Jr. (Lana), Gerald C. McInarnay (Elaine), Michael McInarnay (Tammy), daughter, Donna J. Peacock (Danny), 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Dr. John Montgomery officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at FRASER FUNERAL HOME, 8168 Normandy Boulevard, (904-781-4314).
