William Wayne (Bill) Constant(1949 - 2013)

CONSTANT Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com William (Bill) Wayne Constant, 64 of Middleburg Fl. went to be with the Lord on Saturday November 30, 2013. Bill was loved and respected by many and all who knew him have suffered a great loss. He was born on October 28, 1949 in Jefferson City, Mo.. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1967. Bill joined the US Navy in 1968. He retired from the US Navy after 22 and 1/2 years, serving in the Vietnam War and numerous other endeavors. He joined the former US Customs Service (US Department of Homeland Security) in 1998 stationed in Corpus Christi TX. In 2000 he transferred to the P-3 OP Center in Jacksonville where he served as a Special Projects Coordinator and Senior Detection Enforcement Officer. He was one of the first operators to work on the Guardian unmanned aircraft systems program. He was preceded in death by his father Willard Constant and his wife's parents Howard and Betty Hoard all of Babbitt, Minnesota. Bill is survived by his wife Becky, his mother Juanita Constant, his daughters Jennifer Gillen (Tim), Gwen McDonald (Brian) and Billie Gayle Constant (Jason Hansen). Grandchildren: Samantha, Maranda, Cody, Joshua, Taylor, Sydney, and Mason. His brothers Denny Constant (Phyllis) and Paul Constant: Sisters: Kathy Julian (Tom), Christine Olson (Donnie), and numerous nieces and nephews. A service and celebration of his life will be held on Thursday December 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. Luke Catholic Church 1606 Blanding Blvd. Middleburg, Florida 32068. Bill's final resting place will be in Babbitt, Minnesota next to his father.
