Kyle M. Lynch

LYNCH Kyle M. Lynch, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away at home Monday, July 6, 2009. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia June 19, 1984, to Kevin and Betty Jane Lynch, Kyle spent his childhood in such varied places as Atsugi, Japan, Newport, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C. before finally settling in Orange Park, Florida where he graduated from Florida Youth Challenge at Camp Blanding before entering the U.S. Army in 2002. He began his career serving with US Army, Korea as a Radio and Secure Communications Repairman. During his follow on assignment with Third Infantry Division, 3RD Sustainment Brigade he served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After being designated a Fire Support Specialist, Kyle was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Brigade until his discharge from the service in July 2009. Kyle's military awards include Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (3rd Award), Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge and Driver and Mechanic Badge. Kyle is survived by his son, Tyler Bilodeau, his parents, Kevin and Betty Jane Lynch, his brothers, Justin and Bryan Lynch, and his niece, Arden Lynch. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 July 13, 2009 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church followed by internment at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
