The world is less today because of the passing of Tim Poole. In trying to find the right words to describe Tim, "Less is More". Tim was simply a good man. Always a smile on is face, understated, secure, happy to help, always willing to listen, and listened well.Always a positive point of view, loved and respected by all. Tim taught all of us by example.
Thank you Jean for sharing Tim.

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I way not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

To to family of Lance Cpl Timothy Poole, My Name is Bob Warzala. I am the Grandfather of Lance Cpl Jacob A. Meinert from Timothys Unit who was killed in action January 10th 2010.
My heart goes out to you folks in your time of grief. Our entire family here in Wisconsin has been thinking and praying for you. I always feared the Marines may come to our door one day, but no one knows what it feels like until it happens. Our Boys were exceptional young men with a patriotic devotion to their cause. These men put our safety first above all. I didn't know Timothy at all but I'm sure Jake did. I am proud of both of them and can really sense your loss. As we move on in our grief cycle please feel free to share your grief with us. We know first hand what you are feeling. God bless,
Bob Warzala, Racine Wisconsin.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to LCpl. Timothy Poole our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Timothy. And to Timothy it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Timothy, you are a brave Marine Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,353 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Timothy’s family and loved ones. Semper Fi !

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I didn't know your son or your brother your your friend. In fact I only came across this as I was searching for a friend of mine who passed away this week. But I noticed that this was a young man (the age range of my daughter and my son).And I noticed that he was an active military man. I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation to your family. you have lost your most precious asset--your own flesh and blood who died serving our country so that myself and my family can enjoy all the freedoms we take for granted.
Words cannot express my thoughts of how you must be feeling at this time,but let me say that I have a son that is 21 and I don't know what I would do without him. He is ordinary and not a hero as your son. I cannot imagine my life without him. I cannot imagine the pain you are going thru; but I am truly grateful that you raised such a fine person to serve me, my family and my country. God bless you all and I am genuinely sorry for your loss.
