Dear Strickland family, Although I`ve never met any of you I wanted you all to know that J.C. was a big inspiration in my life as a crane operator and more importantly, as a man. I had the blessed opportunity to apprentice for him on several occasions and listen to his many interesting stories as we enjoyed a Budweiser and "cut the fool" afterhours in the union hall parking lot. He will be GREATLY missed by all his union brothers but I`m glad to know that he is reunited in heaven with his 'Poodle' he always talked so fondly about. I will never forget my friend J.C.

This is a sad time for our entire family; everyone loved Uncle JC. He was always so full of laughter. He was so proud of his family and he always talked fondly of his friends. He enjoyed his job. He just seemed to enjoy life to the fullest.
He truly loved Aunt Poodle. After her death he continued on, but you could tell just how much he missed her. He was a good man and I am thankful that he was a part of my life.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his daughters Charlene, Sandy, and Sue and their families. Each of you can be proud of the way you took care of your parents during their sickness. And also to his brother Bobby, I know how fond you and JC were of each other. ''God Bless the memory of Uncle JC. Rest in peace old friend"
