I will always remember that warm smile and kind words from Percey. I stayed with Percey during a few class reunions I attended in Jacksonville. If I ever feel like traveling to Jacksonville, it just won't be the same.I miss you dear, friend. Norma J. Johnson, Newark, NJ

The words everything must change, nothing stays the same is so true. As I grow older I see so many of the people who were so much a part of my life transition from this life to the next. The life I once knew no longer exist, and those who made my life happy, taught me right from wrong, who loved me and made me feel loved are slowly fading from my sight. Their unconditional love and support have all become a memory. Memories I won't ever forget. I can't forget. I refuse to forget, because without them there is no me. Ms. Percey, is one memory I could never ever forget.A pint size cutie who always wore a smile is what I will remember most. She was an important link to my parents, a classmate to my mother and a constant in my life. She knew me before I knew myself and before my existence she was right there. She never forgot me. Birthday cards, wedding, Christmas cards or a call just to hello...I was thinking about you. Like my parents she has now moved from labor to reward. O, how my heart aches over another loved one gone from my sight. But grief is the price we pay for love and to love is to lay yourself up for lost. Once again I have lost BIGTIME.

Percy was indeed a lovely woman! She was adored by her beloved Julius...I shall always remember the smile that would come upon her face with the mere mention of her husband Julius and their dancing talents; my what a love story.
Percy loved the Lord, she loved life and she loved Julius....The Lord has now allowed her to be reunited with her beloved. What a promise fulfilled!
Percy appeared to live her latter years as a lady in waiting, she has now arrived, "let everything with breathe, Praise the Lord".
Prayerfully,
Leon and Renee Austin-Harris

Percey and her late husband, Julius 'adopted' me into the family my five month temporary assignment for IBM in Jacksonville in 1976.
From the Sunday I met them, I was expected at Sunday dinner, I socialized with them, and really felt at home there.
Percey showed me a kind of maternal love that I will never forget.
Her spirit stayed strong even as she suffered through her recent battles..
We could talk on the phone and it was almost like being there.
The Jacksonville community has lost a wonderful, caring and giving lady.
I will miss her greatly, but, I will have her in my heart always.
Percey and Julius are together again, and I'm happy for them.
Love you.
