BILLIE BREEDING Obituary

BREEDING Billie Jean Cornett Breeding, 81, departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2011 after a brief illness at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL. Born in Dione, KY, July 29, 1929, she lived in Cumberland, KY, prior to moving to Jacksonville in 1969. She was employed as an office manager at Ross Commercial Service for a number of years. Upon retirement she volunteered at Inner City Ministries, feeding the homeless and the needy. Billie was preceded in death by her husband John H. (JD) Breeding, 2 sons, Michael and David Breeding, father Millard Cornett and mother Verda Mae Elizabeth Johnson Cornett, 2 sisters; Carmel Lou and Barbara Cornett, and 3 brothers; Wayne Donald Lee and James (Jim) Cornett. Survivors include daughters; Gail Hall, Jacksonville, FL, Alice Hurd Breeding, Seymore, TN; sons; Charles (Connie), Jacksonville, FL & Carroll (Tammy), Keystone Heights, FL; 6 grandchildren; Angie (John) Alexander, Danny (Christy) Hall, David (Colleen), Dawnya, John (Krista) & Chris Breeding, 6 great-grandchildren; Lindsay & Megan Hall, Zach Davis, Cody, Steven & Noah Breeding, 1 sister Jan Reece, 2 brothers: Louis & Johnny Cornett and a host of nieces, nephews & friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mrs. Breeding's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Inner City Ministries A/G, 5518 N. Pearl St., Jacksonville, FL 32208, with Pastor Edwin Suro officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to Inner City Ministries for Light House Ministry to feed the homeless.
