CORBETT BARDIN Obituary
BARDIN Corbett Nathaniel CN Bardin, 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1922 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Corbett & Susan Fouraker Bardin. Corbett was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Guam, Tintin, Saipan on a minesweeper. He had lived in Oceanway for the past 63 years coming here from Bryceville, was a member of the Jehovah s Witnesses Northeast congregation and retired from the job he loved so much, the Jacksonville Port Authority. Corbett was the man that never met a stranger, loved giving everyone candy, showing his boxing moves and quoting his favorite passage, the 23rd Psalm. Survivors include his wonderful wife and caretaker of 63 years, Joan Crews Bardin; sisters, Marjory Goodwin, Annie Sue Acosta; children, Ronald (Nonnie) Bardin, Royce Bardin, Deanna Alford, all of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Josh Bardin, Haskell (Amanda) Alford, Holly Alford, Brittany (Brian) McMahn, Jesse (George) James; great grandchildren, Nathan, Heidi, Ethan, Tucker and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 11AM in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Brother Robert Hollender officiating. Interment will follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening TODAY at the funeral home from 6-8PM. 714-1110. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
