Dear Calamia Family,
I was Danny's hairstylist when he was a teenager, and had the pleasure of getting to know him. I have thought of him many times over the years. He told me his plan at that time was to become a doctor like his father. I knew he would become a success at whatever he did, and I see that he was. I know Danny is in Heaven. We had many conversations about The Lord Jesus Christ, and he expressed his faith in Him. I had hoped to see him again on earth some day, but I have no doubt we will visit in heaven. Know that Danny was and is very special to me. He left a footprint on my life, even though I only knew him as a teenager. My prayers are with your family always.

Dan,
I remember our first day of law school when we met. Amongst all the stress and craziness you were probably the friendliest face I ever encountered. I’ll also remember our following years in Ohio: two Floridians trying to stay warm in the snow with a leather jacket and sweatshirts (nobody ever accused us of being scholars).
I’ll miss arguing with you about sports. I’ll miss your comic relief. I’ll miss having a friend who lived life with a passion. But most of all, I’ll miss your loyalty. You were a one-of-a kind guy and I’m honored to have been friends with you.

Dan was my attorney for four years. He was a good friend and was always willing to give me advice. He will always be remembered in mine and my familys heart. You have my deepest sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened. Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow. Friends like Dan are few in life and it is with a heavy heart that I also grieve with your loss.
I worked for Dan during the time he was opening up his practice. Not only was he my boss but also an amazing friend. Like a big brother, always watching out for me. I remember he would call me just to ask me how I was doing and if all was well. He would always end his conversation with "Take care of yourself Juanito".

I met Dan at the courthouse while bonding out a couple of "innocent criminals"...boy, Dan sure new how to make me laugh!...He was so funny and such a great man. I am blessed that I had the chance to get to know him. He was someone who I could always go to if I needed any help. He was such a good friend. Dan will never be forgotten. My wife and I met Daniel only two months ago at an Austin restaurant and immediately became good friends. He joined us every Tuesday for trivia games and even though we are senior citizens, he treated us as people in his age group. His friendship was real and a joy to be around. We are very saddened at this news and wish Dr. Ken and family the best.

Dan was the Man. Ben, Rene, and myself always admired Dan's resolve and his work ethic, as much as we shared each other's company. I say shared because friends like we were spent as much time badmouthing each other's college team as we ever did discussing law. I am still shocked that I will never again be able to call Dan a Duke Blue Blood. I apologize that I can't say anything more intelligent but know that Dan C. was our friend and his passing will always be felt among us.
