KEGLEY Funeral services for David Barney Kegley, Sr., 91, will be held 11AM Monday, April 8, 2013 in the chapel at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL with Rev. Rick Crews from the Clay Hill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors. David was born on November 3, 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by his family. David served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Order of the Moose. David was predeceased by his loving wife, Marian S. Kegley; son, James E. Kegley, Sr.; parents, Fred B. Sr. & Mabel Kegley; and two sisters, Kathryn Sherrod and Alberta Nelms. He is survived by five sons, David B Kegley, Jr. (Nancy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Paul I. Kegley, Sr. (Kathy) of Bryson City, NC., Walter M. Kegley, Sr. (Harlene) of Tifton, GA., Charles W. Kegley, Sr. (Jo Ann) of St. Augustine, FL and Richard A. Kegley, Sr. (Susan) of Callahan, FL; brother, Fred B. Kegley, Jr.; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 5PM-7PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME. The family requests memorials in David s name be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 or Clay Hill Baptist Church, 6054 County Road 218, Jacksonville, Florida 32234.

I'm sorry for everyone's loss! I thought the world of Mr. Kegley and blessed to have married into his family. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
