COLEMAN On May 2, 1931 Thomas and Ida Mae Coleman welcomed their second born son into the world. Born at home, in Live Oak, Florida, Donald R. Coleman, Sr. began his earthbound journey. He attended North Jacksonville Baptist Church and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1950. Donald entered the Air Force and when stationed in England, he met and fell in love with Audrey Fagg Coleman, to whom he was married for 53 years. Following her passing, Donald married Debby Cook Coleman who cherished and cared for Donald and made him happy in his twilight years. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Thomas K. Coleman, Jr, his daughter Donna Lynn Coleman, His wife Audrey Joan Coleman. He is survived by his wife Debby Cook Coleman, his son Donald Ray Coleman, Jr (Mimi), Jennifer Coleman Quinn (Charley), Deborah Moore (Mark) and Linda McLeod (Andrew); his brother Charlie Coleman and his sister Caroline Richardson. Donald left a host of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also loved by his stepsons, Toby Cook (Alisha) and Jody Cook (Kylie) and all of their children. Donald was a Detective Sergeant with the Duval County Sheriff s Office in the 60 s before he went into the carpet and construction business. Donald was loved by all , a hero to many, and the best father, husband and grandfather this world has ever known. He is a man who will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held Monday, December 2nd (TODAY) from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home 1426, Rowe Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32208. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 3rd, at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with an interment at Restlawn Cemetery. Please Sign the Guestb ook @ Jacksonville.com
