Obituary Condolences

HUNTER Durwood (Woody) Hunter, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He was born in Jacksonville and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. Mr. Hunter was a Vietnam era U. S. Air Force veteran. He retired from both BellSouth and Sprint and in his spare time was a train enthusiast. Mr. Hunter is survived by three daughters, Melinda Kay Choi, Teresa Annette Strickland, and Jennifer Thomas; sister, Susan Kim Hunter; and grandchildren, Andrew William Strickland, Holly Strickland, Kinsey Strickland, Hannah Choi, Emma Choi, and soon to be grandchild, Gavin Thomas Broussard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to N. E. Florida Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Woody's Graveside Service will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6th, with Military Honors. Pallbearers: Andrew Strickland, Billie Strickland, Kyle Broussard, Chu Choi, Scott Hamilton, and Kenneth Hamilton He requested that all those in attendance wear casual attire, so wear your jeans.
