Auntie did a lot, she helped a lot of people, and it was time for her to take her rest! It is still hard to believe she is gone but her memories will forever be with us! I can't imagine her wanting to stay around and not be able to continue what she did for so many years, attending the sick, singing in the choir, helping out at church and throughout the community. She didn't know how to stop and rest and so God decided to give her sweet rest! We know he will not put anymore on us than we can bear and so we trust him for comfort today!

Just know Beverly, Debra and Jackie, it gets easier as the days pass! And she is going to let you know she is alright now!

May God bless and keep you!

Love,

TO THE FAMILY:
IT IS WITH DEEPEST REGRET THAT I EXPRESS MY SYMPATHY. WORDS CAN NOT ERASE YOUR PAIN, ONLY TIME, PRAYER AND GOD CAN. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH EACH OF YOU DURING THE LOSS OF YOUR MOTHER AND LOVED ONE. MAY THE GRACE OF GOD BE WITH YOU IN YOUR TIME OF NEED AND MAY GOD'S PROMISES COMFORT YOU AND GIVE YOU PEACE. THE LOSS OF SOMEONE SO CLOSE IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO BEAR, BUT HOLD ON TO GOD'S UNCHANGING HAND AND HOLD ON TO THE MEMORIES AND THEY WILL HELP TO COMFORT YOU. NO BOND IS AS GREAT AS THAT BETWEEN A MOTHER AND CHILD. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO BEVERLY,DEBRA, JACKIE, AND ALL OF EMILY'S LOVED ONES-KNOW THAT GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES, AND TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT YOU WILL MEET AGAIN. GOD HAS CALLED ANOTHER ONE OF HIS ANGELS HOME. GOD BLESSED ALL OF US WITH EMILY'S PRESENCE FOR A SEASON AND NOW SHE IS "HOME" AT LAST, "WALKING AROUND HEAVEN", THANKING OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR ON HOW SHE GOT OVER. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS EACH OF YOU AND MAY THE COMFORT OF FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND "GOD" HELP YOU TO GET THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
WITH SINCERE SYMPATHY

Good days, hills climbed, weary days, sleepless nights, low hanging clouds, dimly lite roads, questions & pain - But God knew what was best for me and I won't complain.
Psalms 91
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2] I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
[3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
[4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
[5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
[6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
[7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
[8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
[9] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
[12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
[13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
[14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
[15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
[16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I would like to express my sincere condolence especially to Beverly, Debra and Jacquelyn. I regret that I am unable to attend the funeral but please know that my prayers are with you. May the Lord strengthen and comfort each of you in this time of grief. If I had one word to describe Aunt Emily, it would be 'Lady'. To me Aunt Emily's character always reflected that of a perfectly virtuous lady and child of God. She will always be remembered.
