BEARDSLEY Floyd Bruce Beardsley, 53, loving son and father, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Born in Miami, Bruce moved to Jacksonville at age 5. He graduated from Victory Christian Academy in 1977. He was a member of First Coast Christian Center, where he was a leader of the Royal Rangers Outpost #177; and a former member of the board of directors for Prisoners of Christ. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, scuba diving and spear fishing. He also loved Chevy trucks and was a diehard Georgia Dawgs fan. Bruce never met a stranger, and was a very loving and giving person, even in death by being an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Foster Beardsley and brother, David Andrew Beardsley. Survivors include his three children, June Carlene Raymond (Tim), Jacob Bruce Beardsley and Jeffery Andrew Beardsley; his mother, June Beardsley Cooper (Ken); a step-sister, Rebecca Cooper (Ted); and other loving family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 27, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Pastor Doyle Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday (Today) at the funeral home. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
