GERALD BOLENA JR. Obituary
BOLENA Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com GERALD JERRY BOLENA, JR. passed away in his home in Apopka, Florida, on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Jerry was born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1952 and is survived by a large, loving family including wife, Colleen; children, Shannon Williams (Chris), Kristen Bolena (Alex) and Dane Bolena; grandchildren, Shane, Kadyn, Jaxon, Abigail and Mason (who is expected to arrive any day); and mother, sister and brothers residing in Jacksonville, New Smyrna, Middleburg and St. Augustine. Jerry was a third generation general contractor and owned and operated construction businesses serving the greater Orlando area for the past three decades. He loves God, America, his family, carpentry, politics (the right side), history and playing his guitar. He was always joking around and made people laugh. His family misses him but knows he's in the presence of God, the angels, and his loved ones that went before him. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Journey Christian Church, Apopka, Florida, on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at the church. Jerry wanted everyone to wear bright colors and to be comfortable (dresses, suits and ties not necessary). Funeral services will be provided by Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Homes, (407) 898-8111. Family and friends who wish to send a gift may, in lieu of sending flowers, give to a charity in Jerry's memory. Jerry's wish is that such gifts would go to help the hungry, homeless, widows and orphans as Jesus would want us to do.
