ALEXANDER Mr. James Alexander, Jr., affectionately known as 'Jr.', 60, departed this life on August 18, 2010. James was born in Jacksonville, FL and was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. James Alexander, Sr. and Mrs. Bernice Alexander. James was educated in the Duval County School System and FSCJ (formerly FCCJ), where he earned his certificate of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. James was a dedicated employee of Rhodes Furniture Company for 25 years until his retirement in 2006. James received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 2007, and became a member of Faith In Action and later became a deacon during his time of service. James later moved his membership to Faith Christian Center in 2009. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mrs. Virginia Alexander; daughter, Jamie Bernice Alexander; stepdaughters, Kimberly Williams, Shanell Garrett, Brittany Garrett, and Kenya Harris; three grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ms. Thelma Cole; sisters, Dr. Elaine Alexander, Ms. Althea Alexander, Mrs. Cynthia Shepard (Jerome), and Ms. Annette Brown; special nephew, Benjamin Scott, Jr.; seven sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; special friends, Herbert Heath and Odom Bonner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held August 25, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., at Faith Christian Center, 8985 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211, Bishop George L. Davis, Pastor.
