JAMES TRIAY Obituary
TRIAY JAMES ROBERT (Jimmy, Skipper, Coach) TRIAY, born February 6, 1946, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2013, after a long battle with Heart Disease and Parkinson's. Jimmy graduated from Englewood High School in 1964 where he made the All City Football Team. He received a Scholarship to Fort Kansas Jr College where he made the All Junior College Team. He then received a scholarship and played football for the University of Miami where he graduated in 1968. Jimmy later earned his Master's degree at Central Missouri State. He was Athletic Director at Sandalwood, an Administrator and coached at several Jacksonville High Schools. He retired after 30 years of service from the Duval County School System in 2009. Jimmy had a zest for life and lived every moment to the fullest. He loved hunting, was an avid fisherman and well known in the Mayport and St Augustine areas with his boat the IBIS. James is preceded in death by his mother Grace Moyle Triay Reynolds, father Frank H. Triay, and step-father John R Reynolds. He is survived by daughter Erin Triay (Trent Clifton), son Adam Triay, granddaughter Megan Triay, brother Howard (Dayle) Triay, nephew Jake Triay, niece Jamie (Kris) Evans and 2 great-nephews Cooper and Coleman, brother John R. Reynolds II, aunt Sister Clarice Moyle, Steve (Cindy) Triay, Scotty Triay, Stephanie Triay, Wayne Triay and Myles Hendrix. The family also wishes to acknowledge and thank Pam Triay Story, Margaret Wynn and Robert Taylor for their love, caregiving and support. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 23rd at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home 2335 Sandridge Rd, Green Cove Springs. In lieu of flowers the family requests Donations be made to: Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
