Hey Big J. I was sitting here quietly thinking about you on this now 13th year of not hearing you play "the Lucille ". In my book you were right up there with Clapton and King. I sure miss watching you play. I hope you know how much you are missed and loved. I send prayers your way all the time and now I ask that you also pray and watch over your dad. Give hugs to Manana, LaLa and Claudette. I love you

think about those times playing at Fionn MacCools and watching everyone enjoy the music as much as we enjoyed playing. Forever in my prayers. You are still missed.

To Jason's Dad and Brother, I was just thinking back about the college days at UF and my wife and I were remembering how much fun we had and the great people we met. So we got online to search out Jason to see if we could invite him down for a visit, as he always had a smile and an upbeat contagious attitude, and was one of the greatest people we could remember from the old engineering days. I was stunned to see he has passed, and wished I would have contacted him sooner. However Im greatful for the times we spent together, his smile will be with us forever and we will both remember him forever for his generousity and all around good person. Play that guitar(Lucile) likes its nobody's bussiness my friend.
God Bless you.

Jason was a good friend. We were "thick as thieves" growing up on San Pedro Road... We raced RC cars, built forts, shot bb guns, fished a lot, had water wars and played backyard ball with our older brothers, blew up everything with firecrackers, fried ants with a magnifying glass, smoked our first cigars together, tried to be BMX bikers, and explored every possible inch of the neighborhood. I'll always remember you smiling, friend. I regret not catching up enough as "grown ups" but am thankful for the good times we had. My prayers go out to your kind family.
In Christ,

Jason could really play that "strat"! We always had a lot of fun when we would all get together and play. He was so talented - and such a nice guy. It was "on" when he and Johnny would play together at our many jams. I especially loved the Allman Brothers songs - "over the top". The local muscian crowd will really miss him.
....a great guy.

Jason was the musician that brought out the best in my playing. I will never forget the times we played out. There was a certain way Jason would play that would make every song memorable. It is too hard to accept that he is gone. He was a great friend that was always giving and gracious.

Jason became a part of our extended family so naturally. Our holiday gatherings were always filled with the laughter and light of his wonderful smile. I will always remember Jason sitting at the piano with my young son, Michael, allowing him to "play a duet" with him...And how he bonded with my grandfather over the love of a perfectly tuned guitar. Mark and I feel truly blessed to have had the chance to call him "friend" and "brother".

Words alone can't describe the loss that I, and all who knew and loved Jason, now feel. I owe him more than I would have ever been able to repay him; without Jason's guidance and friendship I would be a lesser man today. For me, to say that Jason Aramoonie was a friend is an honor and also an understatement. He was an example whose equal I have never met.

There might have been 30 years difference in our age, but music erased any kind of generational boundaries. We were kindred spirits, sharing a musical heart and the deep passion to play.
