RIDLEY
Jason Thiel Sanders Ridley, 46, was born July 24, 1971. He passed away on June 9, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Southside in Jacksonville, FL. Jason was born in Columbus, GA and attended Woodland Christian School in Ladonia, AL and graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN. He served in the Navy as a Nuclear Technician on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He worked at a nuclear plant in South Haven, MI. In 1998 he returned home to Alabama and started working at AT&T. He later transferred to St. Augustine, FL and worked his way up to Senior Project Manager. He also volunteered as the Vice President of AT&T Pioneers. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grantham University with a Masters of Business Administration in Project Management.
Jason enjoyed hunting gators, deer, and ducks. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing, Alabama football, camping, skiing, and traveling. Picking on family and friends was another favorite pastime of Jason's. His greatest passion of all was spending time with his family.
Jason is survived by his parents; David and Peggy Ridley of Cataula, GA, brother; Jared Ridley (Robyn) of Cataula, GA, sister; Jessica Hunter (Neil) of Midland, GA, his sons; Matthew and Jonathan Ridley and Ryan Henry, his daughter; Hannah Ridley, and girlfriend/roommate Sue Henry, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday June 13th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to service on Saturday, June 16th in Ladonia Baptist Church, 3789 US Hwy 80W, Phenix City, AL with Interment to follow in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
