Leranell Crews Griffin Obituary
Leranell Crews Griffin, born October 12, 1926, passed peacefully on August 5, 2018 at Brooks University Crossing, Jacksonville, Florida.
She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and former employee of the City of Jacksonville. She was a loving mother, a devoted homemaker and a tireless volunteer for community and school functions. However, her main passion was her family, friends and her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oynel and Zona Crews; her sisters, Lucille Carmichael and Doris Guthrie; her brothers Oynel and Marion Crews; her granddaughters Stacia and Constance Bradley; and her husband, Irvin Lenton Griffin, Jr.
Leranell is survived by her son Charles Irvin Griffin (Sheilia) and her daughters; Jackie Marlene Dunlap and Janet Lynn Bradley (Duane); Five grandchildren; Melissa Laughren, Amelia Hoffman, Kelly Giftos, Kerri Drewry and Ariel Hewett and 9 great grandchildren; Emma Laughren, Logan Laughren, Michael Giftos, Jacqueline Giftos, Jackson Drewry, Griffin Hewett, Zachary Hewett, Rylan Hewett and Haleigh Hewett.
The family would like to acknowledge our deepest appreciation to The Fountains Residential Living Community (Palm Bay, Florida), Brooks University Crossing, Sandra Willett, Ernestine Joseph and Nadine
Layne for the loving care and kindness shown to Leranell and her entire family.

A memorial service for Leranell will be held at Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32207, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:30 AM. We also welcome you to gather at the home of Duane and Janet Bradley to share memories after the service (1pm). The address is 12934 Palmetto Glade Drive, Jacksonville 32246.
