Obituary Condolences

HOUDESHELL Margaret Peggy Ch ristensen Houdeshell, 54, of Stuart, FL, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, after losing her battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Peggy was a poster woman for hope and the power of positive living, and was helping other survivors to her end. She was always willing to provide a kind word, a meal, material goods and tenacious support. Peggy's friendliness and compassion blossomed into advocacy and a life of volunteering for The ARC Jacksonville, On Campus Transition Program at UNF, Bosom Buddies, Family Care Council, Duval County PTA and many more. Peggy was a devoted and exceptional wife, mother and sister. She was naturally inquisitive and loved the outdoors, training Labrador Retrievers and aided all animals. Peggy lived in Florida her entire life and lived life to its fullest. Peggy will be missed by the many who knew her and the many that benefited from her influence. Surviving her are husband, David; sons, Reid and Justin; brother, Carter John Christensen, Winter Garden FL; and sister, Katie Schwartz, Lincoln NE. Peggy was preceded in death by parents Arthur Harry Christensen and Patricia Kline Christensen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 3:00 p.m. at the Adele Grage Cultural Center in Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233. Scripture, memories and a stroll to the beach are planned.
