MARY ROSS Obituary

ROSS Mary H. Ross, 91 of DeLeon Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at her residence. Mary was born on February 14, 1920 in Albert Lea, MN and moved to this area from Jacksonville, FL 31 years ago. She was a long time and faithful member of Glenwood Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the DeLeon Springs Garden Club and recipient Gardener of the Year at the age of 89. As an outdoor enthusiast, Mary had a passion for gardening and bird watching; earlier in life she enjoyed camping and traveling. She also enjoyed working with stained glass, reading, and crossword puzzles. She had a love for animals. Her strong family convictions taught her children all the way to the end of her life. She is predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Ross. Mary is survived by her sons, John H. (Connie) Ross of Savannah, GA, Scott T. Ross of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Robert N. Ross of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Margie R. (Mike) White of Carlsbad, CA; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her friends, neighbors, and Hospice for their kind and gentle service and guidance. Her strong faith in the Lord and convictions will be remembered by her family and all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Glenwood Presbyterian Church in Glenwood, FL. Online condolences for the family may be left at allensummerhillfuneralhome.com.
