MORRISON
Ms. Priscilla Elaine Wards Morrison passed away peacefully on September 4, 2018 in a local hospital. A native of Jacksonville, she attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School – Class of 1964. Ms. Morrison was employed with AT&T as an Assistant Engineer having rendered over 35 years of dedicated service before retiring.
She was predeceased by her parents, Auston Thomas Wards, Sr. and Georgia Clemmons and sisters, Lillian Raley and Emma Wards. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Jacqueline DeVaughn (William), Ms. Janice Morrison, Joseph Keith Morrison, Sr. (Natasha); grandchildren, Ms. Shantelle Stockton, Delvin R. DeVaughn, Ms. Damaris DeVaughn, Ms. Deanna DeVaughn, DeAndre' DeVaughn, Darrius DeVaughn, Renaldo DeVaughn, Richard Kelly (Kissie), Larea Burton, Jalah Burton, Kaylah Morrison, Karmen Morrison and Joseph K. Morrison, Jr.; godchildren, Ms. Pamela Mays and Jarrod Johnson (Keona); 12 great grandchildren; 6 brothers, Walter Wards (Ernestine), Omar Kashif (Miriam), Shawn Kashif, Auston Wards, Jr. (Yvette), Garry Wards, Elijah Wards (Priscilla); sister, Ms. Gail Upson (Laronza); a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, SATURDAY, September 15, 2018 at St. Paul AME Church, where she held membership, Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Zanders, II, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Morrison will rest in the mortuary for visitation FRIDAY from 5 PM until 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr., (904) 766-9671.
