Ray Boyton Obituary
Ray J. Boynton passed peacefully from this life to life eternal on February 2, 2018. Ray was born in Atlanta, Georgia July 6, 1936 and was raised in Albany, Georgia. After graduation from Albany High School, Ray attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida. While at Stetson he was selected as Outstanding Intermural Athlete for 1955-56. It was there he also met his wife, Connie. Upon graduation in 1959 he worked for Proctor & Gamble and in 1966 he began a 26–year career with Mars Candy Company. In 1975 Ray was transferred from Winter Park, Florida and then moved to Jacksonville where he retired in 1992.

Ray's two passions were basketball and golf. He was a member of Hidden Hills Country Club where he was an active member for many years. Most of all, Ray loved his family, especially spending time with his grandson, Tyler.

Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Connie; daughter Caren Walrath; and grandson Tyler Walrath. The memorial will be on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 PM at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. 32211. There will be a Celebration of Life afterwards at Hidden Hills Country Club, 3901 Monument Road, 32225.

Many thanks to his caregivers, Doris Hamilton of Concierge Home Care and Kathy Bailey, as well as Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Living Water Christian Church, 1806 Maracaibo Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 or Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257
