McEVER Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Hanson Allen McEver, 92, will be held at 2pm Tuesday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Ted Corley officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial will be at 2pm Wednesday in Rest Haven Cemetery, Monroe, Georgia. Born November 15, 1916 in Monroe, Georgia, Mrs. McEver died Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Jacksonville. She was a member of Mayfair Baptist Church for over 50 years. Mrs. McEver was predeceased by her husbands, Hoyle Joseph Allen and William Ralph McEver, Sr., and a son, William R. McEver, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Denise M. (Patrick) Slogar of Jacksonville; two sons, Kenneth H. (Patricia) Allen and Bruce H. (Sally) Allen, both of Granbury, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grand- children; and 3 great, great grand- children.
