So sorry to hear about Shirley's passing. As a classmate and friend, having grown up in the same neighborhood I have always remembered Shirley as a kind and generous person. Stan and Gene taught my 6th grade class. We use to sing every morning in the cafeteria. That was a special time in my life and I will never forget it. My sincerest condolences to both of you and your entire family. I did not know Shirley but if she was anything like Stan and Gene she was a very special person. Thank God for her. I am so blessed to be able to call this special lady my Aunt Shirley. She was so much more than just an aunt to me. I loved her dearly and will miss her terribly! Dearest Stan, Gene, Pam and families,
It is amazing that the love and friendship we felt for someone years ago still lives in our hearts and minds today. We are so saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing but know that the Lord she so lovingly served all of her life is holding her in His arms today. We have talked about many of the wonderful times we shared at Berea, on Lake Bedford in the summers, at good old AJ football games and singing together in each others homes and at church. Those are such blessed memories.
