Liz and Children,
It is with a heavy heart that I just learned of Tommy's death today. I have read all of the comments posted for Tommy and the family from all over the country. The recurring theme is the fact that Tommy was so vibrant and full of life and made people happy to be around him. I would say that this is spot on and it shows you how many lives Tommy touched with his contagious personality. I hadn't been able to spend time with him in recent years but know he was a devoted father and husband. We had talked of getting together at a hunting camp in Natchez this fall the last we talked. I will drink a toast to Tommy on the front porch of the cabin and I know his spirit will be present.
I will keep all of you in my prayers and have a mass said for Tommy. God Bless all of you in this most difficult time. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

Dear Liz,
There are no words to express how much Tom will be missed. I do not know if you remember but Michael and I met you and Tom for the first time at a Palmer Auction. You had just moved here and you said that you were bartending so you could meet everyone and get to know people. I was so impressed by that and was amazed at how many people you and Tom had befriended by the end of the night. That is how I remember both of you always. Taking life by the horns and enjoying it to the fullest. A few weeks ago we were in the Bogey Grill and Tom bought Michael and I a drink. When I went over to talk to him and thank him I said you didn't have to do that. He said "I know but I wanted to, you are good people." Tom was "good people". We will miss his smile, but his zest for life will bring a smile to our faces every time we think of him. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I recall fondly camp-outs with the Troop where Tom would consistenly out do me, and everyone, in terms of the great food he would prepare for the adults. Better yet was the fellowship we shared, often lightened with a great Cajun joke or two. Tom will be missed greatly. Deepest sympathies to all the Dantins and his many friends.

Dear Liz, Reece, Amy, and Leah,
We are praying fervently for Tom's soul and for you, your beautiful family, and your loved ones to be comforted. Our hearts are heavy with sadness of your tragic loss. My kids remember "Coach D" fondly! They said he was one of their funniest teachers and he helped the kids use their imaginations. He instilled leadership in them by allowing the kids to take turns leading the class and making learning fun. He will be sorely missed! May God pour His grace over your family. Love, The Welch's (Annelie, Rick, Nicholas, Alex, Julianna, and Jack)

We loved seeing him at Palmer activities, volunteering for anything needed. He was so much fun to work with at the Science Fair. His knowledge and concern for kids made him terrific as a judge! He had a great sense on humor. We will miss him dearly.
