Obituary Condolences

KAPLAN Vivian Cohn Kaplan, 85, resident of Jacksonville, passed away November 24, 2012. She was born in St. Paul, Minn., daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Cohn. Vivian is the widow of Max Kaplan. Vivian spent over 2000 hours volunteering for River Garden Hebrew Home. Every Wednesday morning you could find her doing manicures for residents and on Thursday, volunteering in the Gift Shop. She had an exceptional rapport with the residents and a warmth and smile that were positively radiant. She was loved by all. Vivian also served as Financial Secretary of the River Garden Auxiliary and was a past president of Hadassah. Vivian also loved spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind two loving daughters, Nancy Kaplan and Judy Kaplan (Michael Samach), grandchildren, Alyson and Matthew, of whom she was so proud, and many dear friends. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26 at 1:00 pm at New Center Cemetery, 43rd and Liberty St., Jacksonville, FL.
