Walter Dautel Obituary

DAUTEL Walter E. Dautel, age 87, died on May 11, 2011 quietly in his sleep. He is predeceased by Betty Jane, his loving wife of 45 years, his parents, Jacob Christian Dautel and Marie Weber Dautel, his brother Rudolph and his sister Margaret. He is survived by his children Stephen Dautel of Clifton Park, New York, James Dautel of Middleburg, Florida, Peter Dautel of Gainesville, Florida, Barbara Dautel of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeffrey Dautel of Gainesville, Florida and loving Daughter-in laws Kathleen and Magda. He leaves fourteen beautiful grandchildren, Spring, Nicole, KC, Jocelyn, Ryan, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Jacob, Dylan, Elizabeth, Madelynn, Timothy and Travis, a loving sister-in- law, Dorothy Schilling and nieces and nephews. Born November 6, 1923, he lived the majority of his life in Northern New Jersey. He was a Jeweler in New York City for many years and later became a Realtor/Builder in Northern New Jersey. He was very active in his community and with his family. Upon his retirement, he resided in both Clifton Park, New York and Jacksonville/ Middleburg, Florida. A loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, he led a full and happy life and he will be missed by many family and friends alike. Private burial services will be held by the family and a memorial service was held Saturday May 14, 2011 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Middleburg, Florida with Pastor Ross Engel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memories may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
