Bill and I went to Ribault together. In Jr. high, he was a TCO ( Traffic Control Officer). We were in 8th grade then. We liked each other then, and he walked me to every class and met me when it was over. He gave me hall passes if I was late. I was so proud to be walking around with Bill, my TCO!! haha It is so funny now to look back.
He was a good friend from then on.
He wrote me on Facebook 2 weeks before he died. He told me all about his illness.I was so impressed by his strength and bravery. He was in the hospital then. I was so saddened to hear of his death.
My heart goes out to Nancy and all of his family at this moment of grief. Please know that you all are in my prayers, and that God will touch his hands on your hearts, and give you comfort in the days that lie ahead.
RIP Dear Bill...

Aloha Uncle Billy! Well, what can I say. Man, you are loved by so many people it's crazy. Reading through all these entries has given me great insight about who you really are. As if I didn't already know. This world was surely blessed the day you were born. I can surely say it was changed forever the day god said, "it's time for you to take your rightful place next to me". Even though thats a great seat and one I know you deserve, man we all surely miss you here. I know I can speak for myself, our family and of course my mom, your sister Linda. She always speaks so highly of you, I can only wish to be half the man she preached you are. Looking back on all those times where I got to have those short little conversations with you over the phone will be cherished in my heart forever. I remember being a kid on Christmas and looking for the present from uncle Billy. Something to do with fishing it always was and so appreciated by me words couldn't have explained in any kind of thank you card. Maybe thats why I never sent you one and mom always told me to. HAH! Of course I wished I had now. Maybe you can consider this a thank you card. One that is thanking you for everything you and aunt Nancy, Trip, and Jenay has ever done for me or said to me. You touched my life in a way no one else has. Your words of wisdom will never be forgotten knor overlooked. I have been blessed to know you, be related to you, call you my uncle, and carry both you and mom's last name. The only thing I wish I could have done differently was get there earlier and spend an afternoon fishing with you, Trip, Brian, and Ben. Though I'm learning I'm always a day late and a dollar short. Can't figure out why! Anyway uncle, I hope you can look down upon me and know how much you mean to me, how much I look up to you and how much I love and strive to be like you. Please take care of mom while she's there and see to it for me she safely makes it back here to Kaua'i. I know you can see how much I'm lost without her. Try not to laugh at me to hard. To aunt Nancy, Jenay, Trip, Brian and the rest of my family please know how much we love you all and want to be there in the worst way. Please know my love and prayers are with all of you during this really hard time. Mom, I know your needed there so please don't worry about things here. Just know you are the queen of my heart and I love you like you'll never know. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
I love you uncle Billy, you are the man.
Your nephew,
Teak
