Jean Arrington Obituary
ARRING- TON Jean Arrington was born in San Diego, California on May 7, 1921 to the late Bert and Gussie Shankland. She went to meet the Lord on September 8, 2010. Jean is survived by her daughter Roberta (Jim) Perry of Florida, a son, John (Linda) Boyer and daughter Michelle (Dennis) Zamsky all of California and one brother, Dan Shankland of Colorado, 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She attended San Diego State University School of Nursing and was a member of Phi Sigma Nu Sorority. She was married to Dr. John L. Boyer from 1945-1969, then married Allan McMahon and after his passing she was married to John Arrington until his death in 2003. She was active with the Woman's Auxiliary to the San Diego Medical Society and an active member of Khem Temple No. 85 Daughters of the Nile. She was loved by all the people who's lives she touched and will be missed by all. A celebration of her life will be held at New Grace Church, U.S. 17 South, Fleming Island, Florida on Monday September 13 at 11 a.m. and a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Donations made in her name may be sent to St. Judes Ranch for Children, 100 St. Boulder City, NV. 89005-0985 or to New Grace Church Memory Garden. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at the Morris Hospice Center and especially Angel for her loving support. We will miss you Mom and your grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss their Nana. We love you.
