Obituary Condolences

GRACE Walter E. Grace Jr., 89, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Monday August 12, 2013. Mr. Grace was a lifelong resident, born on December 26, 1923. He was a member of St. Marks Episcopal church in Ortega, a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, University of Florida (class of 1957), and a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Mr. Grace was a senior executive and board member of Grace & Company and a member of the Florida Yacht Club. He was married twice to two loving and devoted wives. First wife, Evelyn Fischer Grace, passed in 1987. Mr. Grace is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jaunelle Grace, children: Walter E. Grace III (Walt) and his wife Tracy, Susan Grace, Paul F. Grace and his wife Dr. Janet Dick-Grace. Surviving grandchildren are Zachary and Madeleine Ann Grace, and step children Arthur Carlton Powers, Cheryl Powers Starkey and her husband Robert. Also surviving Mr. Grace are his brothers and their wives Forbes and Anne Grace, Elroy and Dudley Grace and Robert and Betty Grace. Arrangements are under the care of Oaklawn Funeral Home and Cemetery 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 (904)737-7171. A funeral service will be held at Oaklawn Funeral Home at eleven o'clock in the morning Thursday, August 15, 2013 with interment following immediately after in Oaklawn Cemetery.
