HUDDLESTON Ryan McKisson Huddleston died unexpectedly on November 3, 2013, at his home in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born May 2, 1988, in Jacksonville. He attended Riverside Presbyterian Day School and graduated from The Bolles School, where he excelled scholastically and in drama productions. Ryan attended The University of Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville. He enjoyed music and was an accomplished musician. He loved languages and studied both Japanese and Spanish. He tutored math as well. He is survived by his parents: Dr. Kathryn Welch Huddleston of Jacksonville and Dr. John F. Huddleston of Melrose; his maternal grandmother, Joan M. Welch of Birmingham, Alabama; siblings, Suzanne H. Morrison (Hal) of St. Simons Island, Georgia, Edward R. Huddleston (Lynne) of Cullman, Alabama, John S. Huddleston (Kelly) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Dr. Mary Kathryn Huddleston-Colburn (Dr. Jeffrey Colburn) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; uncle, Paul M. Huddleston of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts, Tealla W. Stewart (Tom) of Birmingham, Alabama, Pat H. Joy (Dr. Edward) of Boulder, Colorado, and Maureen A. Kelley of Atlanta, Georgia; cousins, Fred Joy, Becky Joy Jurkuta, Beth Huddleston, Clare Stewart Huddleston, and Betsy Stewart, as well as by his six nephews and four nieces. Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul McKisson Huddleston and Mary R. Huddleston Tally, and his maternal grandfather, C. Hoye Welch. Ryan is dearly loved by his family and by his numerous friends. We will cherish his memory. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, November 6, and a funeral service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, November 7, at the Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, Florida 32207 (904) 346-3808.
