GRUBBS Roderick Leon Grubbs, Sr., 48, passed away on February 15, 2014 at his home in Jacksonville, FL. He is survived in life by his beloved wife Brandi Leigh Grubbs, his two sons they raised together Roderick Leon Grubbs, Jr., 17, Raheem Davon Grubbs, 15, mother Rosa Lee Grubbs, father Edward McDower, 6 brothers and sisters: Anthony Grubbs (Pamila), Nathaniel Bristol (Tina), Christopher Grubbs (Ivy), Linda Grubbs, Valerie Prioleau (Kenneth), Tequana Cooper, his mother-in-law Rhonda Currey (Gregory), brother-in-law Timothy Buckner, and grand-mother-in-law Nanny, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was affectionately called Uncle Scald by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom he loved more than words can say. Leon was a Landscaper for over 33 years; he was an avid football fan and loved watching the Florida State Seminoles and Jacksonville Jaguars play. His favorite quote: Promise me you ll always remember: You re braver than you believe, and Stronger than you seem, and Smarter than you think. Christopher Robin to Pooh. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10 AM in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Pastor Michael Fedd officiating.
